STREET PHOTOGRAPHY ON THE BEACH

Living far of city’s and loving street photography, I was experimenting the concept of street photography on beach but public in France wasn’t really educate at this time. Then I made different trip in USA and spend time in Coney Island where we can said this artistic mouvement was create by the street photographer Arthur Fellig aka Weege around 1940. After shooting there in black and white with medium format I decided to change my approach technique for my next trip and convert myself on color using the magic street photographer tool : Leica M.  

For my fourth time in Hawaii, my eyes began to see new things and as a fan of north shore I could saw on islands the same difference between north shore and south shore and how the geology and the nature can influence the humain approach and connection with mother nature. On north shore, sea elements, wind and huge waves are so present that mind of people are unconsciously connected with nature. Spiritism, observations are constantly present when people aren’t too far from the shore. On south shore, Pacific Ocean is often calm, sheltered of the trade wind and people feel more connected to the sun. We can also observe the difference on physic and age of people between north and south shore, north shore attracting often surfer and south shore attracting people wanted to enjoy sun and laze.
